BMTH live in Jakarta 2024

This time around Ravel gets it right and BMTH (Bring Me The Horizon) are headlining the Nexfest festival in Jakarta which also features Babymetal. In this format there is no seating - which makes for a much more intimate experience - although you do have to arrive really early if you want to pick a spot right up close to the stage.  We arrived about six hours before BMTH were scheduled to start their performance and bought plenty of drinks to stay hydrated in the tropical afternoon heat (mind you, some of those were Iceland vodka mix!) This was a gig I had long been looking forward to - especially after the debacle last year. Not everyone likes BMTH of course. For deathcore fans the band sold out. For metal heads the band is not purist enough. And for the wider mainstream audience, the band is too heavy. Rin Sakuragi stars in the new Suster Keramas film!!!!!!

If at first you don’t succeed then try, try again.

Yes we failed to get Miyabi (Maria Ozawa) over.

But we haven’t failed this time!

So say hello to Rin Sakuragi!!

Rin Sakuragi stars in the new Suster Keramas film
Can’t believe what you are seeing? Well, astonishing it is true. Because the legendary Japanese star – who is noted for her steaming hot performances in such film classics as Golden Pavilion Temple 2 and the Uniform Connection Special – is staring in the new Maxima Pictures movie, Suster Keramas!

In her heyday, Rin Sakuragi truly was the performer to beat. According to one article written in 1992, Rin Sakuragi could command fees of 3 million yen (more than $20,000) per video while other top starlets could only make around 1.5 to 2 million yen (about $10,000 to $15,000).

The Suster Keramas film is slated for a sensational opening night on the last night of the year, 31 December 2009, but I’m not sure there won’t be protests against this film once the more conservative elements in Indonesian society realize that a Japanese prawn star is taking the country by storm.

Anyway, to whet your appetite as it were, is a trailer for the new movie. Enjoy!
